The Behlen small Companion and horse waterer is a one-piece, heavily insulated waterer, designed of heavy poly which is rust and corrosion Free. The Thick styrofoam floor keeps the frost line below the waterer.

The Extra Thick Urethane foam insulation in the walls provides over four times the insulation of competitors' models (tested to -20 degrees F). The 75 Watt, thermostatically controlled, infrared heat pad is located directly under the water trough for ample heat coverage. The thermostat turns on at 42 degrees. The heat pads are totally isolated from the animals to prevent danger from shock. i

NOTE: The standard valve is ideal for water pressures up to 55 PSI. An additional pressure regulator is recommended for higher water pressures.
